All the styles of the mirrors and picture frames have been taken from original pieces seen in private houses and stately homes.
The intricate carving of scrolls and curves on the large Rococo mirror frame, the gilt basket frame and also the detailed carving of the Chippendale style mirror frame are fine examples of John’s ability with a scalpel knife. This is his tool for hand-carving all the originals of the pieces you see on our website. A casting is then made and the mirrors and frames are produced in either pewter or resin.
All the frames are made in a light weight resin and then gold plated, and the majority of the mirrors are made in pewter and gold plated.
Please find below our selection of painted finish mirrors and frames, please note that we can provide any of the gilt finish frames in a vellum/gilt or manilla/gilt finish to complement your existing furniture.
